Important Graduation Information
If you or your guests are planning to attend the University Commencement or the Costello College of Business Degree Celebration, please review the "Know Before You Go" section on the graduation website for important details regarding security, arrival times, clear bag policy, tickets, and other important event details.
Arrival Information
Grads should arrive one hour prior to the scheduled beginning of the ceremony. Grads will need to provide their George Mason ID / G numbers for check in. Students who don’t have a physical George Mason ID can download the Mobile ID app and not have to worry about getting a new card.
EagleBank Arena Events
Grads should arrive near the EagleBank Arena loading dock and follow directional signage to procession lineup in Lot A. It is highly advised that grads use the restroom before arriving at the EagleBank Arena, as there are limited facilities available outside or on the arena floor level. Main doors open for guests one hour prior to the ceremony. Guests enter on the South, West or North Concourse level entrances.
University Commencement
The Spring 2024 University Commencement will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10am in EagleBank Arena. President Gregory Washington will preside at the University Commencement ceremony in EagleBank Arena, which will feature student, faculty, and guest speakers. Guests also will enjoy live music during the event. Doctoral candidates will be individually recognized and hooded; bachelor and master graduates will be recognized as a group at their seats. Costello College of Business Degree Celebration
The Spring 2024 Donald G. Costello College of Business Degree Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 6pm in EagleBank Arena. At the Degree Celebration ceremony, bachelors and masters graduates will be individually recognized and photographed on stage. Tickets are required to attend the Degree Celebration ceremony.
