General Summer Internship Summary: The Hyundai Capital America Summer Internship is a unique and robust 12-week program the offers the ability to earn on-the-job experience at a global organization. The interns will participate in projects, support one of our headquarters-based departments, and work closely with manager on current business initiatives and challenges. Each intern will be assigned to a project and will have a final presentation in from of HCA’s leadership team. Will at HCA, interns will have the option to participate in a variety of activities that will expose them to our unique corporate culture and core values.
Interns will be assigned to one of the following departments:
- Sales
- Mobility
- Consumer Credit and Funding
- Human Resources
- Corporate Strategy/EPMO
- Corporate Planning
- Financial Planning and Analysis
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Successfully complete assigned department-specific projects.
2. Strategy Development & Data Analysis – Provide quantitative and analytical support for assigned department.
3. Presentation Creation: Create final presentation at the end of the internship program for HCA leadership.
4. All other ad-hoc projects and assigned duties.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Good personal computer skills, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to understand and use a variety of systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
- Creative, innovative and adaptive to change.
Qualifications:
Auto Finance industry experience is a plus.
Must be a current junior (classified as a senior by June, 2024,) or a recent graduate who will be starting a graduate program in fall, 2024, or a current graduate student obtaining a Master’s degree.
Location of Internship: Irvine, California (US)
Maximum Salary: $30/hour
Hours per week: 40 (Hybrid - 3 days in Irvine, CA office, 2 days virtual)
Start/end dates: June 3 through August 23, 2024
