POSITION: Marketing Intern
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the intern will vary with each assigned project and may include the following:
- Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends
- Assist with daily administrative duties
- Design and present new social media campaign ideas
- Prepare promotional presentations
- Draft blog, email, and digital content
- Draft and distribute press releases, promotional materials, and event invitations
- Monitor social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
- Help with the planning, promotion, and hosting of events
- Contribute to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content
- Help schedule out social media content in Agorapulse
- Support engagement and outreach efforts/campaigns on social media platforms
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for Marketing, Communications or similar field
- Proficiency with social media platforms
- Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for marketing, public relations, and events
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Intern will work an estimated 20 hours per week
- Depending on the scope of the project, work may be completed at The Market Group office, a client site, or remotely
- Intern will attend a weekly planning meeting on Monday mornings
- Tasks will be assigned as they arise
