The Center for Government Contracting hosted an online event with the co-chairs of the bipartisan House Armed Services Committee Defense Critical Supply Chain Task Force. Center Executive Director Jerry McGinn discussed the task force findings with Reps. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mike Gallagher (R-WI). The conversation revolved around their views of DoD’s strategic analysis and approach to identifying and mitigating gaps and vulnerabilities in the supply chain. In addition, the panel discussed the authorities DOD has at its disposal, whether they are the right authorities, and whether DoD is using these authorities effectively. Representatives Slotkin and Gallagher will share recommendations to support DoD efforts to build resilience into the defense supply chain.
