Reshoring Does Not Mean ‘Buy America’ Only

Center for Government Contracting Executive Director Jerry McGinn wrote a commentary entitled “Reshoring Does Not Mean ‘Buy America’ Only” that was published in DefenseNews and GovCon Wire. 

The Coronavirus has recently shed light on U.S. dependence on China for critical things like PPE and medicine. This has led to many calling for an America only approach to the manufacture of these critical items. McGinn points to several reasons that we should be in partnership with our allies and avoid an autarkic “buy America only” approach.
