Calling all undergraduates who have had a great research or creative activity
experience!
The Office of Student Scholarship, Creative Activities, and Research (OSCAR) is
continuing our OSCAR Peer Leader program in the 2024-2025 Academic Year. We will
be selecting a group of undergraduate students who display a sincere interest in
promoting the growth of undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activities,
to become OSCAR Peer Leaders. This is your chance to share what research has
meant to you, and become a leader in the undergraduate scholars’ community at
Mason.
OSCAR Peer Leaders must be undergraduate students enrolled at Mason who have
previous experience with research or creative activities. OSCAR Peer Leaders will
provide information to the Mason community about undergraduate research
opportunities. They will be paid $13 per hour for their work recruiting, supporting,
and encouraging students interested in undergraduate research, scholarly, and
creative activities.
To apply to be an OSCAR Peer Leader, please fill out the application
by May 24, 2024. The selection process will include review of applications and an interview with the OSCAR Team. If selected, Peer Leaders are expected to be hired and start working in August 2024. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Lee, Assistant Director of OSCAR (klee57@gmu.edu).
